Achievement in Learning Levels

Due to the interventions by Pratham and changes in delivery methods, the learning levels of the children have shown a marked increase. The strategy of direct delivery of education in rural areas has paid rich dividends in terms of bringing about a major increase in learning levels that can be observed through seeing the results of baseline, first test, mid-test and post-test conducted during the beginning and end of the program.






Support Events

Independence Day (15 th August)

Pratham celebrated Independence Day on 15 th August at Mangapeta Primary School who's Head Master Sri. Chakradhar hosted the national flag on the occasion. On this auspicious day, several games were conducted for children and prizes were handed over to the winners. These games were held while understanding the goal that conducting these games regularly not only helps children in coming out to prove their sportive talent but also helps them in building up their physical health.

Teacher's Day (5 th September)

Teacher's day is celebrated on 5 th September of every year across India . Pratham too celebrated Teachers day with great enthusiasm in its “Learning to Reading classes” and “Library centers”. The Pratham team visited Komatipally village's L2R class on this day. The students in this class acted as teachers and conducted classes for other children, thus embodying the culture of motivated teaching. Two students from this class, Lalitha and Sujatha also received gifts for acting as teachers on this special day. The village sarpanch, Sri. Jabba Sammaiah and govt school teachers were present during the prize giving ceremony. Pratham undertook the celebration of Teachers Day while keeping in mind that these kind of programs and continuous encouragement from teachers increases the confidence level of the students and helps bringing out their hidden talents.
